At Belleview Christian Academy, academic excellence and biblical truth go hand in hand. We provide students with a challenging, Christ-centered education designed to develop strong academic foundations, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong love of learning.
From the earliest years through high school, students are encouraged to discover their God-given abilities, pursue excellence, and grow in the knowledge and skills they need for wherever God leads them next.
Curriculum
A proven foundation, faithfully taught
BCA uses Abeka and BJU Press — two of the most established Christian curricula in the country — because they pair academic rigor with a consistent Biblical framework across every subject.
Phonics-first reading
Students learn to read through explicit, systematic phonics beginning in kindergarten, so decoding becomes automatic and comprehension can take over.
Mastery-based math
Daily review and spiral practice build genuine fluency. Concepts return again and again until they stick, rather than being covered once and left behind.
Daily Bible
Scripture memory, Bible survey, and character study are part of every school day at every grade level — and they inform how other subjects are taught.
Specials for everyone
Art, music, library, and physical education are built into the weekly schedule, not treated as extras to be cut when the calendar gets tight.
Preschool
Where the foundation begins
Our preschool gives little learners structure, songs, stories, and a great deal of encouragement — the combination that turns a nervous first week into a child who asks to come back.
Days are predictable on purpose. Children learn the rhythm of circle time, centers, snack, and rest, and that predictability is what frees them to take risks with new skills.

Kindergarten – 5th Grade
Where strong habits are built
Self-contained classrooms let one teacher truly know each child across every subject — how they read, where they hesitate in math, and what makes them light up.
Most grade levels run two sections, which keeps class sizes small enough that a struggling reader gets caught in September rather than March.

Where Independence Takes Root
Middle school is an important transition as students take greater responsibility for their learning and begin preparing for the expectations of high school. At BCA, students are challenged academically while being supported by teachers who know them, encourage them, and point them toward Christ.
Students are encouraged to think critically, develop strong study habits, take ownership of their work, and begin forming biblical convictions that will guide their choices both inside and outside the classroom.

Where Purpose Takes Shape
High school at Belleview Christian Academy challenges students to take greater ownership of their education while preparing for the opportunities ahead. Through rigorous academics, biblical worldview integration, and meaningful relationships with teachers, students develop the knowledge, character, and skills needed for college, career, and a life of service.
As students progress toward graduation, they are encouraged to discover their God-given strengths, deepen their biblical convictions, and make thoughtful decisions about their future.
High School Academics
Individual Graduation Planning
Students work with an advisor to understand graduation requirements, monitor credits, and intentionally plan their path toward graduation.
College & Career Preparation
Students receive guidance as they explore future goals, develop strong academic habits, and prepare for the transition from high school to college, career, ministry, or other opportunities.
Dual Enrollment
Eligible students have the opportunity to earn college credit through Southeastern University while completing their high school education, allowing them to get a head start on their college journey.
Biblical Worldview
Students are challenged to think critically, evaluate ideas through Scripture, and develop biblical convictions they can carry beyond the classroom.
Service & Leadership
Through community service and opportunities to lead, students are encouraged to use their gifts and abilities to serve Christ and others.

Bright Futures
To qualify for a Bright Futures Scholarship, students complete 16 core academic credits: 4 English, 4 Math (Algebra I and above), 3 Science (at least 2 with labs), 3 Social Studies, and 2 consecutive years of the same foreign language.
Only core courses count toward the Bright Futures GPA — electives do not.
Community Service
Every student in grades 9–12 completes 25 service hours each school year — 100 hours across high school. Service opportunities are offered during the year, and students are encouraged to serve outside of school as well.

Dual Enrollment
BCA partners with Southeastern University so qualified students in grades 10–12 with a 3.0 GPA or higher can earn college credit while still in high school.
Each participant has one class period reserved during the school day for college coursework, with supervision and support. Credits count toward both the high school diploma and a college transcript.
Planning for College
Entrance requirements vary by institution and may not always line up with the courses BCA offers, such as Advanced Placement or Honors classes. We encourage families to contact the colleges they are considering directly — and BCA is glad to help communicate with admissions counselors along the way.

Art
Students work with real materials and study how artists across history have seen the world — taught by two dedicated art teachers.
Music
Singing, rhythm, and performance, feeding into chapel worship, the Christmas program.
Library
A weekly library period builds the habit of choosing, finishing, and talking about books — the single best predictor of later reading ability.
Physical education
Two P.E. coaches keep students moving, teach the fundamentals of team sport, and lay the groundwork for our athletics program.
Classroom assistants
Assistants work alongside teachers in the younger grades, which means small-group instruction and fewer children waiting for help.
Learning support
Teachers communicate early and often when a student is struggling, and work with families on a plan. Tutoring is available during and after school.

How do you communicate progress to parents?
Parents have access to grades, assignments, attendance, and other important information through the FACTS Family Portal. Teachers also communicate directly with families when questions or concerns arise, helping parents stay informed and involved throughout the school year.
What if my child is ahead — or behind — in a subject?
We recognize that every student has different strengths and areas for growth. Our teachers work to challenge and support students within the classroom while monitoring their academic progress. During the admissions process, we also review each student’s academic records to help determine appropriate placement and whether BCA can meet the student’s educational needs.
Do you accept transfer students mid-year?
Yes, mid-year enrollment may be available depending on space within the student’s grade level. Our admissions team will review the student’s academic records and work with the family to determine appropriate placement and whether BCA is the right fit for the student.
How much homework should we expect?
Homework is used purposefully to reinforce classroom learning, provide additional practice, and help students develop responsibility and strong study habits. The amount and frequency of homework varies by grade level and generally increases as students progress into middle and high school.
Which grades does BCA currently serve?
Belleview Christian Academy currently serves students from preschool through 10th grade. Our high school program is continuing to grow, with plans to add 11th and 12th grades as we expand toward serving students through graduation.
